W2-Practical Experience – iMovie

Marita Excited about iMovie
In this assignment, I will illustrate my
learning through three-blog post. Also, I have included
screen shots and a video embed of my own iMovie creation.
We were asked to view the iMovie ’11 Essential Training in
three one-hour sessions. However, because of my job duties, I was not able to
view the videos in the requested format.
My first impression of this assignment was why would our
instructor assign a tool so advance. I had never thought about using iMovie, or
any video-editing tool at this level. Moreover, I do not own a
camera or video recorder, so one would say, I am a bit behind the times.
In my first session, I was able to view the videos: Getting
Started, Importing Video, and Understanding the Interface. After viewing the video on the interface, I
realized that iMovie was user friendly and
operated from one pane, which is split into
several sections. I have listed them below:
·
Project Pane on the top left
·
Tool bar in the middle
·
Events at the bottom
·
No save button- iMovie will save automatically
In addition, under the Importing Video section, the tool
used to capture live action stood out for me since this was the only way for me
to incorporate video for the assigned lesson.
